A few thoughts . . . .
January 2024
Letter from the President
Greetings York County Members and Friends!
I would like to once again thank all our members, along with the members of the York Republican Committee, who helped get our candidates elected this past year. Even though the results on the State level were disappointing, almost every YC candidate we supported won. This was a huge victory for YC Republicans! In addition to sending Senator Danny Diggs, Delegate Chad
Green and Delegate AC Cordoza to Richmond, RWYC Members Lynda Fairman, and Kim Goodwin and Zoran Pajevic were elected to the School Board. In addition the Constitutional Officers elected Kristen Nelson, Krystyn Reid, Candice Kelly and Sarah Webb are RWYC Members.
We have an extremely busy political year ahead and I have included the Calendar of Events in this newsletter. The Presidential Primary is scheduled for March 5th and early voting (for the primary) began January 19th. Please consider becoming an Election Official. Information can be found on the YC Government website: www.yorkcounty.gov
The RWYC’s first meeting of 2024 is Monday, February 12 at County Grill. Jeff Ryer, 1st District Chairman for RPV State Central Committee will explain the Mass Meeting process on the local level and encourage members to be a delegate at the 1st Congressional District Convention on May 4 in King William and at the Quadrennial State Convention at the Hampton Convention Center on May 31-June 1.
This newsletter also has the list of RWYC Committees. All members are encouraged to consider chairing or helping with a committee. Please refer to the links to the VFRW website which provides additional information.
Our deadline to send our dues and 2024 roster to the VFRW is January 31. Therefore, if you haven’t already, please renew your membership ASAP. The application can be found on the last page of this newsletter.
I look forward to seeing you at the meeting! BE SURE TO RSVP!
In God We Trust,
Paula
