A few thoughts . . . .
January 2023
Dear RWYC Members and Friends,
I would like to extend my warmest wishes to all for a happy, healthy, prosperous New Year. In appreciation for, and in lieu of gifts to the 2022 Executive Board, I made a personal donation to Natasha House on behalf of the Republican Women of York County. Natasha House is a worthy cause, and they have been grateful for our donations this past year.
Hopefully you have been able to take a break from the constant political news cycle to focus on family and friends this Christmas season. Reading and watching the different news sources can be very confusing and frustrating.
One of my favorite sayings is “things aren’t always as they seem to be” and that couldn’t be truer. Sadly, the Twitter document dump has revealed collusion between the government and tech giants, which resulted in the politicization of the Covid virus and its treatment. Every election is very important and this year is no exception. Virginia Republicans have the opportunity to gain control of both the House of Delegates and State Senate.
Our Club was established on October 4, 1976, and it has been very successful due to the dedication of the members over the years. This election cycle we all need to work very hard for all of the campaigns, especially the candidates for York County School Board and Board of Supervisors races, to elect candidates with Conservative values.
I want to thank the members of the RWYC for your dedication, support and encouragement as we continue to grow. As we welcome the New Year, let us join in prayer for a better, brighter, healthier future.
In God we Trust
